Here's what most people don't realize: color isn't passive. It's not just decoration sitting quietly on your walls or hanging in your closet. It is actively shaping your energy, your decisions, your relationships, your health, and yes, your business results. Every color you surround yourself with is communicating something. To you, and through you. The wall color you wake up to. The brand palette you chose for your business because it just felt right. The nail color you pick at the salon. The throw pillow you couldn't leave behind at HomeGoods. None of those choices is an accident. They are your nervous system, your energy field, and your higher self, speaking to you through a language that is ancient, wise, and so much more intelligent than we give it credit for. How I Experience Color Differently
I want to share something personal with you, because it shapes everything about how I work and why I believe so deeply in this. I'm a synesthete. That's a fancy word for something I was born with, a neurological phenomenon where my senses cross-wire in a beautiful way. For me, energy, emotion, and intuition are colors. Where someone else might have a vague sense that something feels off about a person or a space, I see it. I perceive emotional states, spiritual energy, and healing paths as a visual landscape of specific hues with specific meanings.
This is something that has been with me since I was a little kid - I just didn’t have the vocabulary for it. It took me years and a pretty courageous leap away from a corporate career to understand that this wasn't just a quirk. It was a calling. For over a decade now, I've been working at the intersection of color, energy, and human transformation. Through my Spirit Portrait Experience, I create personalized paintings that capture the colors of a client's soul, their current energy, their healing journey, and their essence. Clients often tell me it's one of the most deeply seen they have ever felt. It’s always very exciting to see that look of amazement on someone’s face when they find out a single color (or two) can unlock so much of what they’re seeking.
