The real power of AI lies in the human who guides it.

Many moons ago, I studied computer science at Drexel University.

This was back when we programmed on punch cards, not cool silver laptops, and around the time the first Mac came out. We were learning to get computers to work for us.

We had to determine the commands to give the computer so that we would get the results we were looking for.

The phrase still echoes in my head: "Garbage in, garbage out."

Fast forward to today, and we've got AI all around us.

● In navigation. How does Waze know where I am, and how can I be routed to my destination as quickly as possible?

● In our homes. Can my air conditioner know what temperature is comfortable for me?

● In personal devices. Netflix suggests I might love to binge on Young Sheldon.

So, how can you use Artificial Intelligence to write your content? Are ChatGPT and other similar tools the answer to making writing simple?

We want to send emails, write social media posts, and create websites that don't sound like a machine or too salesy.

And, we want a faster way to feed the marketing machine.

We need to embrace technology and teach it to help us.

Conjure your success

1. Use AI to brainstorm ideas.

For a stylist: What are the top 10 pain points my clients struggle with when getting dressed in the morning?

Now that you have identified the individual pain points, you can begin thinking about how to solve each one.

Short answers can be social posts, medium ones can be emails, and long ones are perfect for your website. See how to Reuse Content: A Smart Strategy for You to Save Time.

Note: If you write the blog first with all 10 pain points, use AI to reformat it into emails.

2. Collaborate with AI.

For a nutritionist:Take the benefits of vitamin D and write it in terms a 5th grader would understand.

As an expert, you often get lost in the jargon and forget how your clients might not understand. Let the computer help you simplify the information.

3. AI is great for editing and refining your content.

For example, please give me 10 alternative words for the word 'strategy' in this sentence.

The computer will present you with 10 options, and you can select the word that you like best.

Reveal the magician's secret

I use AI, specifically Perplexity. I can rewrite the answers I get with Claude, ChatGPT, and Sonar. Then, I can ask the computer to make the information more concise or refine my original request.

I ask AI to finish sentences. I like to follow the rule of 3, so if I have 2 items, I ask for the third.

For example: I type in (or prompt - for computer nerds): Finish this sentence: When your home aligns with your lifestyle, you create a nurturing environment and enhance your …

AI responded: well-being, productivity, and overall quality of life.

Or I ask the computer to fill in the blanks when my brain can't find the exact word I need.

Please give me options for XXX in this sentence. (I paste the sentence. This is not X-rated; it is just easy to type.)

I even prompt AI to: Write this in a friendly, conversational way.

It modifies my text to sound more human. How bizarre is that? Asking a machine to be more human.

Enchant with the sorcerer's spell

As a copywriter and content creator, am I worried that I will be replaced by computers? No. AI is another tool that helps me write better, stronger, and faster, like a spelling or grammar checker.

The real value lies in human expertise — knowing which words to select, which input to provide, and the creative vision behind the content.

The real value lies in human expertise...

The magic happens when we use these tools to amplify our unique voice rather than replace our thinking.

As a female business professional, your authentic voice is your greatest asset. AI tools are your magical assistants, helping you cast your spells more effectively.

...your authentic voice is your greatest asset.
