HOW JOURNALING CAN HELP YOU BECOME MORE CALM, MINDFUL AND RESILIENT

In a world that is calling upon us to pivot at every turn, journaling is an impactful tool to apply into our daily routine, as this self-care opportunity can fundamentally elevate our resolve and support calmness when faced with challenges. When we take the time to reflect on what it is that is nudging us, whether negatively or positively, and exercise personal observance, we position ourselves into the power seat of choice, and this is Mindfulness in action. When we journal, we are in essence, igniting the IN-POWERMENT code of potentiality, and thus EMPOWERING the structure of our own energy force.

Rather than be tethered to outdated patterns and negative algorithms that do not serve our highest and best, we can apply present challenges as instruments of growth. When we neutralize the chatter, regulate the disconnect, and soften the doubt through writing, we empower the mind, body, consciousness connectivity, awakening the senses beyond the present challenge, and advancing a framework of skill and resilience. Here in real time we can engineer a self-directed intention towards discipline and positive habits.

When we begin to construct the bridge towards a more resilient Mindset, we create space for curiosity and creativity. This lends itself to the exploration of how we can authorize self-worth, confidence, and trust in the unfolding. As we are now implementing a system of inner communication through the act of journaling. This practice opens the mind and invites in the opportunity to think differently, engaging in new perspectives towards positive outcomes.

Journaling sparks emotional clarity, guiding us to express our thoughts and feelings privately at first. It is as if, we are practicing a style of dialogue for the outside world interactions to come.

Journaling creates an IN-POWERED space for personal consideration which allows later conversations to be less fueled by reactionary impulses. Getting out and in front of a less stressed interaction builds confidence which supports a resilient mindset.

Exchanges of thoughts that have already been dis-fused and well thought through before a discussion takes place, empowers us, by intentionally creating less stressful environments.

There is “empowerment energy” within the discipline of writing, as this practice can produce a calm nature and a resilient spirit, leaning into a positive and reinforced Mindset. This worthwhile habit expands on the occasion for personal growth, so when we are confronted with a challenge outside of our comfort zone, we can move more readily into the zone of potential. This is where journaling becomes an important tool to retain as we work through possible scenarios ahead of time, avoiding unnecessary outcomes.

When we sit down to create an atmosphere of release and organization related to our thinking processes, we can begin to feel less uncertain and more aligned with our decisions. As the creative mind searches for opportunities to express what is possible, journaling is a two-way conversation with our future self, expanding on time freedom and releasing self-imposed restrictions.

How we measure progress can be a delicate balance of personal expectations and professional demands, and certainly, we all know firsthand the pressures we put on ourselves to be at the top of our game consistently. When we connect with, and write out our intentions, positive patterns can be created as we begin to merge desires with results.

Many of us aspire towards a peaceful state of being, as few of us prefer the condition of

restlessness. Our mind races, our physiology gets disrupted and our attitudes can shift fast when faced with an unsteady balance. Whether emotionally, physically, or mentally off center, we don’t like unease. When we keep a journal close by, we can excuse ourselves for a few moments, take a few breaths, close our eyes, and then release a few thoughts to calm the nervous system down and reconnect with the resiliency that we have been practicing.

I know of many individuals who have grabbed a napkin while dining out, scribbled a few thoughts on a piece of paper from the car floor or glovebox, or simply jotted down bullet points via our tech availability. Regardless of the release of choice, the writing it down helps us to become more mindful of the moment, putting things into perspective and allowing positive momentum to take shape.

As I travel the world speaking on The Science of Empowerment, journaling can be applied as one tool of Neutrality, bringing a few moments of peaceful connectivity within ourselves. This modality acts as a reminder that we are not at the mercy of outside influences. We are resilient, energetic beings that can harmonize internal discomfort and sooth the sensory system with words to paper.

There are countless suggestions to guide us into personal exploration and discovery, course correcting patterns and behaviors that have somehow turned into aspects of habits and personality. Journaling has a way of reminding us that quiet time, seclusion, and introspection can heals us, move us forward, and aid in the release of stagnated emotions and negative holding patterns within the body. Writing is a creative tool that stimulates our intentions, dreams, goals, and thoughts, and at times, creates new neuronal pathways into the direction of change and resiliency. We are in essence, rewiring the mind to align with higher “Thought Energy.” This practiced inner

connectivity IN-POWERS our potential and EMPOWERS our reflective states of being, preparing us for more centered interactions.

We are more than we realize, and capable of greater efforts that we settle for. For when we sit upon the resting ridge of reflection and contemplation, placing thoughts to script, we begin to observe there is a part of us that remains quite dormmate, longer than necessary. The act of journaling begins to organically release that dormancy, exposing space for expansion and creational thinking.

If you have yet to experience journaling, I politely urge you to purchase a journal that speaks to your creative nature, find a pen that feels right in your hand, and allow the words to flow. Do not judge your thoughts, nor try to control the expressions, simply ride the current of universal energies, expanding on your connection with the God force, or any style of connectivity that feels welcoming to you. Tune into what it is that moves you, matters to you, and ignites the spark of wonder and exploration, and begin the daily practice of a few words a day.

Remember, you are brilliance in waiting, a divine spark of all that has and will continue to become. At times, it will offer great benefit for you to place thought onto paper, relaxing the mind, calming the body, and nurturing the soul. We have journaled for eons, cuneiform, hieroglyphs, petroglyphs, and many other styles of inner expression. Journaling is your space and time to consider where thoughts can lead you…
